Overview
This page explains how to request deletion of your account for the Vishu Schools mobile app and its associated personal data. To protect your information, deletion requests must be made by the account holder — either from inside the app while signed in, or by email from your registered address so we can verify your identity.
How to request deletion
Option 1 — In the app Recommended
- Sign in to the Vishu Schools app with your account.
- Open the menu and go to Settings.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Read what will be removed, tick the confirmation box, and tap Request account deletion.
- You'll be signed out, and your request is logged for the school to process.
Being signed in verifies your identity — no extra step needed.
Option 2 — By email
- Email vishupreschool@gmail.com from the email address registered to your account.
- Use the subject line "Data Deletion Request".
- Include the full name of the account holder (for a child, the admission number).
Sending from your registered address lets us verify the request is really yours.
What is deleted and what is kept
- Your login and profile (name, email, role).
- Personal records tied to your account (e.g. student profile, guardian contact details).
- Messages and concerns you sent are removed from active use.
- Financial records such as fee receipts are retained in anonymised form for accounting, audit, and legal obligations.
Timeline
We acknowledge requests within 7 working days and complete deletion within 30 days. For an enrolled student, the school may contact the parent or guardian to confirm before removing records. Once completed, the account can no longer sign in.
